The Pisiit Project!

Qaggaivuut has launched our Pisiit Project with the Knowledge-Keepers of Nunavut!

Looee Arreak and Annie Petaluasie are visiting elders around Nunavut who are sharing their traditional Inuktitut songs so that all Nunavummiut will be able to re-learn them and perform them again across Nunavut communities.

Annie's first visit was to Cape Dorset! A big thank you to Kootoo Toonoo at the Saipaaqivik Daycare, and elders Mayuniak Quvianaqtuliaq, Novalinga Kingwatsiak and Udjualuk Etidloie for sharing their traditional songs with the Pisiit Project!
